Our Family
Our CHEVALIER FAMILY is comprised of:
- The MISSIONARIES OF THE SACRED HEART - a group of priests and brothers founded by Fr. Jules Chevalier in Issoudun , France on December 8, 1854.
- The DAUGHTERS OF OUR LADY OF THE SACRED HEART - co-founded with Mother Marie Louise Hartzer in Issoudun in 1874.
- The MISSIONARIES SISTERS OF THE SACRED HEART - co-founded with Fr. Hubert Linckens, MSC in Hiltrup, Germany in 1900.
- The MSC LAY ASSOCIATES – groups of lay men and women who feel called to live and give witness to Chevalier’s charism, spirituality and mission in their ordinary everyday lives.
Here in Texas, we have the MSC priests and three groups of MSC Lay Associates; in San Antonio, the Hill Country (Spring Branch, Blanco area), and in Harker Heights which is near Killeen/ Fort Hood.
