Support The Mission at Home
As religious, the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart never retire as such! Irrespective of age or state of health we are still a vital part of our mission of the making the love of God believable, visible and relatable in our world. We are called to be the heart of Christ in the world. Even in poor health we have the obligation and ministry of praying for the needs of the Church. As we age we simply step back into less physically demanding work.
Our calling is to invite and enable people to experience the same compassionate Jesus, His healing love, and reconciliation with His Father and with one another. We serve as Pastors in parishes, as hospital and military chaplains as well as serving the many other needs of our local communities.
Presently six priests of our Section are over 80 years old. One is confined to a wheelchair and all experience various health problems. It is our fervent prayer and hope that we will be able to make our Mission House (which is also our retirement home) more handicapped accessible for our elderly priests.
Should you wish to make a tax-deductible donation to help defray the costs of educating our students in formation, to help us continue our many ministries and apostolates, or to provide for the needs of our elderly priests in retirement, we want you to know that we pray daily for our generous benefactors both living and deceased. Or you may wish to include us in your will. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.
All donations to be sent to:
Rev. Fr. Superior, MSC Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, 123 West Laurel San Antonio, Texas 78212-4667.
